  Andrew Parker

Founding principal of Par-Tek Environments Ltd., Andrew is a third generation Canadian contractor and entrepreneur. He has been involved in a broad spectrum of the construction industry for over 25 years, and is a master carpenter. His extensive experience includes: themed environments, museums, casinos, exhibits, displays, movie sets, specialized retail environments, commercial interiors, custom homes, and extensive experience with renovations. He has performed in variety of capacities as general contractor, freelance project manager, estimator, sales, supervisor and carpenter. As such, he has practical hands-on approach towards solving problems and ensuring a quality product. Andrew's greatest asset is creative and effective problem solving.

In addition to his ‘hands on’ experience, Andrew has applied his carpentry skills to the invention and patenting of various wood working related tools, systems and jigs. These have been marketed in North America and Europe. He is also a new product consultant to the industry as well as private individuals.
Active in his community, Andrew served as a Niagara Neighbourhood Association representative to the Toronto Refiners and Smelters Decommissioning Committee for a period of five years. The purpose of the committee was to oversee a $24 million dollar soil rehabilitation project in Toronto.

Andrew enjoys a wide variety of sports, including racing sailboats, skiing, tennis and squash, but his main passion is flying and racing sailplanes at the National level. He is a volunteer director of Canadian Advanced Soaring, which organizes most of the competitions and educational seminars for gliding in Canada. He has been successful in fund-raising efforts for the National Soaring Championships and enjoys the challenge of organizing these events almost as much as he enjoys the competition itself.

Andrew is also a level 1 certified ski Instructor for the disabled (volunteer).
